KEEP YOUR BMW RUNNING SMOOTHLY WITH A MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE

Check Out The BMW Maintenance Schedule to Keep Your Car in Excellent Condition

Did you know that BMW has a manufacturer-prescribed maintenance schedule? Most owners require service once or twice a year, or approximately every 5,000 miles, whichever comes first. But what does that schedule include? How much can it cost? And what benefits are included in BMW ownership?

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE VISITS

While the schedule is based on 5,000-mile intervals, a Condition-Based Service monitor will alert you if anything else is required. During a routine appointment, your vehicle will receive:

  • Vehicle check and inspection
  • Fluid checks for brake, coolant and engine oil
  • Brake inspection
  • Air filter inspection
  • Wiper blade inspection
  • Tire rotation

Of course, not all components will be replaced every visit. Still, the appropriate ones between the Condition-Based Service and your trusted trained and certified BMW maintenance mechanics will be. You will also be advised of future concerns and suggestions.

After the initial 5,000-mile maintenance, it’s recommended that you schedule maintenance at 10,000-mile intervals up to 30,000 miles, then 60,000 and 90,000 miles. Each higher maintenance level includes additional services, like fluid, filter, and brake replacements. Not sure if these apply to you? Always check your owner’s manual first.

It should be noted that four (4) years or 50,000 miles are the expiration of your New Vehicle Limited Warranty. So, to save money, ensure any covered repairs are done before that milestone. This is also a good time to check on battery replacement.

COST OF MAINTENANCE APPOINTMENTS

Depending on the services to be performed, you can expect a charge between $150-400 for basic service, with more labor-intensive services racking up closer to $1,000.

Want carefree maintenance? All-new BMW vehicles have three (3) years/36,000 miles of BMW Ultimate Care. You can find more information about this program in your owner’s manual.
