What Is Mercedes A/B Service?
The best way to avoid costly repairs and time in the shop is to follow the Mercedes maintenance schedule outlined in your owner’s manual. At Eurofed Automotive, we also recommend having an oil service and a courtesy vehicle check every 5,000 miles by one of our ASE-Certified technicians. At 10,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first, it’s time to schedule Mercedes Service A. This service includes engine oil, oil filter replacement, fluid level checks, tire air pressure checks, service light reset, and brake pad and rotor inspection. Once your odometer turns 20,000 miles, or one year after the previous Service A, Mercedes Benz recommends bringing your vehicle to a service center for Service B. Service B includes all the elements of Service A plus we’ll replace the cabin microfilter and engine air filter and perform a brake fluid service.
While Service A and B are the most common intervals, Mercedes maintenance also includes Service C, Service D, Service E, and Service F, typically more in-depth. The maintenance indicator in your vehicle will alert you if one of these services is needed. For example, Service F indicates it’s time to replace the spark plugs, so don’t ignore a warning light as it could lead to more damage than your budget or schedule can handle.
