Taking Care of the Foundational Needs
You already know the importance of a foundation. Concrete undergirding helps a building stand firm, averting potential ruin. Sound basic education principles such as reading and elementary math are the building blocks to higher learning. The same analogies might be made to your vehicle. Sound maintenance practices pave the way for your Audi to last a long time and operate at its best. Eurofed Automotive can assist you in constructing that foundation for your car. Perhaps you’re wondering about the service schedule you should follow. First, consult the owner’s manual for your specific model. The manufacturer’s recommendations vary by year. For cars driven under normal conditions, the company generally recommends a minor maintenance visit at 5,000 miles, and then every 10,000 miles, or annually, after that for standard maintenance for 2004 to 2016 models. For cars made in or since 2017, that schedule shifts to 10,000 for both initial and standard preventive services. Beginning in the model year 2020, Audi outlines an alternating schedule every 10,000 miles of minor and standard services. Minor maintenance visits include oil and filter changes, a brake system check (paying particular attention to brake pad thickness), a multi-point inspection, an examination of the tire repair kit, and a reset of the service reminder display. More extensive, the standard maintenance protocol repeats the prior points and addresses the chassis and body parts, additional braking system components, convertible top/sunroof, the parts of the charging system, all major systems including cooling, lighting, steering, the engine, safety features, suspension, and tires. Be aware, however, that these do not include all necessary preventions. The manual also lists other checklist items that need addressing periodically. If you’re a bit overwhelmed or unsure of what to do, stop worrying and bring your Audi to us. We’re always glad to explain what your vehicle needs and help you develop a maintenance schedule that’s right for your car and your driving habits.
