An Ounce of Audi Prevention
Chances are that you’re familiar with the adage about an ounce of prevention being worth a pound of cure. That applies to a lot of things in life, and it’s accurate for your Audi. A little care upfront goes a long way toward heading off major problems later on. What’s more, your car will operate more efficiently and perform better if it’s well maintained. And that’s why you chose an Audi. Right? You love performance.
Eurofed Automotive enjoys automobiles as much as you do, so let us help you take care of your Audi. We’ll be glad to help you establish a maintenance schedule to fit your unique driving or operational needs if warranted. However, most drivers can follow the manufacturer’s recommendations and general rules of thumb about preventive care. Your car’s manual will provide an overview of the services your model needs. This is important because particular details may vary by year.
Audi recommends the first minor maintenance at 5,000 miles or after a year of driving. After that, standard maintenance every year or 10,000 miles for cars made between 2004 and 2016. For those that rolled off the line in 2017 (or since), the suggestion is 10,000 miles for both the initial and standard visits. The recommended schedule alternates between minor and standard maintenance every 10,000 for models 2020 and newer. The minor service visit includes a multi-point inspection, oil/filter change, brake pad thickness, and overall brake system health inspection, a glance at the tire repair kit before resetting the service display reminder.
The standard maintenance checklist is, of course, more detailed. Once the minor service points are repeated, your technician will check the braking system more thoroughly, look over the chassis and body parts, examine the sunroof or convertible top if your car has one, and check the charging system. They will examine the engine, suspension, tires, safety elements, and the major systems such as cooling, steering, lighting, etc. You should review your manual or ask us about other needed preventive maintenance service points. When you entrust your car to us, you don’t have to worry about keeping your car in good repair. We’ll help you stay in control of all these service needs.
