Taking the Suspense Out of Mercedes-Benz Suspension Repair
One of the reasons your Mercedes-Benz provides a luxurious ride is because it employs an air suspension system. Relying on several sensors to trigger a controller, air compressor, and air springs, this system was once cutting edge in upscale models such as the Mercedes-Benz. It allowed for the ultimately smooth ride that provided comfort even over bumpy roads. As great as this suspension system is, it comes with another layer of components that could give trouble as your car ages. You don’t have to worry, however, because we’re here to help you should you notice that your quality of ride isn’t what it once was.
Although any suspension component can fail, the most commonly reported problem is air spring/strut failure. That’s because the rubber portion of the spring that holds the air can begin leaking. This is often caused simply by age or normal wear and tear. However, damage can also be accelerated with exposure to extreme heat and cold. If a small hole develops anywhere in the component (which is a strut that includes the air spring), the air loss will cause suspension performance to suffer. You’ll notice signs such as frequent air pump/compressor operation, your Mercedes-Benz needing to inflate the air chambers before you can drive, an overly spongy feeling ride, a bad adjustment to your ride height, and/or the vehicle sagging to one side.
If air suspension isn’t your car’s trouble, we can assist you with any mechanical problem. We employ technicians who work to the dealership standards using the manufacturer’s recommended equipment and tools. No matter how simple or complex the issue, your luxury vehicle is in good hands with us.
